What is Transactional Leadership?
Answered By Editor
To better understand a Transactional
Leadership approach you will need to define
transaction for yourself. Webster defines it
as "A communicative action or activity
involving two parties or things that
reciprocally affect or influence each other."
You'll find examples of transactional
leaders in most workplaces. The employee is
given a task to complete for which they will
receive praise for correct completion, or
punishment for incorrect completion.
